Black Diamond Tile was founded by Benjamin Hankinson in 2005, whose passion for travel, skiing and his sweetheart led him to settle in North Lake Tahoe.

Jessica partnered up with Ben in the Spring of 2025 to realize a dream of hers to step into an ownership role after managing for other contractors in Tahoe for 16 years. Like so many others, she fell in love with the Truckee-Tahoe area for its numerous adventure sport opportunities and to have a family.

The tile team is a second family, tied together both by blood and their craft. Daniel, Oscar, Omar, David, Rene and Javier are a tight-knit hardworking bunch and this site would not be complete without mention of their talent that made the homes featured here so fabulous.
